Being in the company for more than 2 years now, seeing people coming and leaving is already so normal that I don't feel sad anymore. But this week was different.
We came in as a CA batch together, and had been rather close for the past 2 years. Though the 4 of us were each in a different department, we're closer than what people may expect. We've got almost weekly CA lunches, and a very active Whatsapp group through which we've been gossiping like no tomorrow. Because of our 'extensive' network, we sometimes know exclusive news faster than many other people, sometimes even faster than our respective bosses. There's a really special bond that held us together for the past 2 years, which might even seem to be stronger than other CA batches.
2 years and 2 months was a long period, if you talk about the length of time CAs stayed in the company. Until last Friday, our batch remained intact and it's already a record. It probably surprised many too, that we were still at full strength. So when one of us decided to leave for better opportunities, it probably did not surprise people too much.
With just the remaining 3 of us left in our batch, things will never be the same again. But we're just losing a colleague, not a friend. And may the change motivate us further!
人生是黑白的.
