It was 9 jan 2007, some 11+ months ago.
My ship had this outing at East Coast Park, and we played Laser Quest. You know, you use those 'machine guns' and shoot at each other, and sensors on the straps that you wear, will determine if you have been 'shot'.
I was looking through those photos and I realised, that the facilitators for the Laser Quest that day, are currently my colleagues at Anergy.
I wouldn't have given it a single thought then. How small is the world. How small is Singapore.
Those in grey bottoms are current colleagues. The rest were previous colleagues. I'm not inside, by the way.

The OCIP peeps met last night at hak's place for the annual christmas potluck gathering.
The turnout was good, with 18 out of 25 attended. Majority of the 7 who didn't, are actually having their white christmas overseas.
It was potluck, but i didn't bring food, which i think was really paiseh. But i couldn't really think of what to bring too, and i only woke up just 2 hours before the meeting time of 5:30pm. Well, next time I'll surely bring something!
And i especially love Vidhi's potato dish, which suddenly made us all so hungry again in the middle of the night. It was movies+cards like a typical overnight stay. And even people who have to work full-day today stayed throughout the night too.
We all have Hak to thank for the hospitality. The OCIP team just rock.

It was a special dinner last Friday, for the Final Crew onboard RSS Sea Tiger.
And yes, 'Final Crew' means the very last people to work on the ship. The ship has been in service for more than 30 years, and from 10 Sept 07, it has finally breathed its last, and stood down from active service. It will be officially decommissioned next year.
And I guess I ought to feel honoured to be able to be remembered as part of the Final Crew of the ship. Too many people had served onboard these 30 over years, and I actually witnessed how the ship gracefully sailed her last mission. I was part of the action.
Yes, the live missile firing was unforgettable too. I saw for myself the speed and accuracy of the missile. It was tremendous, intense and heartening. I remembered that my heart skipped a beat, afraid that it wouldn't hit the target.
