yesterday, 080705, was POP day at bgss!
actually, its was really really really really a big big pity, that we r forced to leave the sch by 730pm.. hai.. initially, i planned to have it until 10pm la, den teachers cut cut cut cut cut.. den in the end the programs haf to cut, shortened and some even cancelled.. thats a great disappointment la, considering that its the last day already, esp for the sec 4s.. cos i tink they've been looking forward to it..and i tink they really hoped to haf a nice n enjoyable day.. hAiz. but cant blame the teachers though, cos they've done their best..but i think they could've done better? perhaps try to get the key of the sch gate? perhaps its the school's problem lor.. but it really pains to see that some of the sec4s din enjoy.. its not anyone's fault, its the constraints of the time........
i reached bgss at 1pm.. thats the earliest time i reach dere on a friday training..cos haf to settle some tings la, and wanted to take some fotos too.. den finally, i got to wear tionghan's sch uniform.. den i realised it was a BAD choice.. cos when i pull up his pants, it keeps DROPPING!! his shirt is sooooo big oso.. haha ok, im really tiny n skinny.. malnutritioned, as wad teckkai said... haha.. SO, i used tionghan's nametag as a safety pin to hold the pants... haha.. im sorry if thats disrespectful to his name.. hehe, cos if i dun do that, i cant get out of the toilet.. it IS that serious.. lol.
the feeling of wearing the sch uniform is great lor.. some ppl cant recognise me but the majority were laughing la.. so funny meh...?? hmm... i took fotos in the uniform, which was someting ive been tinking of long ago..cos the uniform is rather unique.. den msWong, mrAzahar, msFung saw oso and they all said i really looked like one of the students. lol.
the sec 4s had a test until 330 lor and the parade was scheduled to start at 345.. ok this is one pity.. cos din haf time to take the sec4s for a last drill session.. haiZ!!! then due to some delays here n dere, the parade started at 405, after that was the ceremony.. gave out CP, NW bronze, BUC, ranks and souvenirs.. congrats to favien n lanlan for getting BUC..they really deserved it, cos of their special services to the unit.. the hand-shaking ceremony followed, but i tink i only shaked 80% of the hands, cos towards the end, it was abit chaotic, cos everyone was trying to escape n run away from having their nicely-polished boots being stepped on.. hee. thanks to me, i started this..bleah. and saw some of them cried... but im quite surprised that only so few cried lor..haha. cos i remembered last time for dhspop, more ppl cried..den when i passed out as nco, tink at least half the sqd cried at least once..incl me la, i tink i cried twice or thrice in the day. lol. perhaps next time during the hand-shaking, sad music has to b played to induce tears..bleah.
after parade besurai and the throwing of berets, the sec 3s did their fancy drill..it was the best performance ive seen them doing.. can still remember the 1st practice, when everyone was so afraid of throwing the rifles and even broke one.. den in subsequent practices, MORE rifles broke and many more dropped without breaking.. heng. wow. really great to c them succeed this time round..did really well.. i was really glad n satisfied.. mayb fancy drill can be passed on down to the juniors starting from this year.. nice nice nice!!
then there was a short time break and we took fotos lor.. vin soph and i took our first ever and last ever fotos in uniform..den took some wif the sec4s too.. den soon after we had a buffet dinner before proceeding to the ava room for the concert..
ok i tink this is another pity..cos ava room lacks the feel of a concert.. den the cool air temp dere oso puts ppl to slp..oops..the hall cannot view video meh.. can ma, but muz set up av equipment only.. den there was another pity lor.. we could only have 45 mins for the concert, cos of time time time time.. which is REALLY TOO SHORT LA.. haiiiiz. den in the end, performance was cut cut cut. sec 1s din perform, sec 2s performance cut short, sec 3s din perform, sec 4s din perform, which i tink was a great pity, den games were cancelled, speech was reduced, sec 1s din have speech, sec 4s din haf speech, CIs speech have to be reduced by 1000%, cos actually i sort of prepared a speech which was abt 10 times longer la.. haha, perhaps its good news to everyone that it had to reduce the speech, but really, i had so much to say.. well well well. so the concert was rushed thru and it really ended at 720, and everyone was chased home.. hai. i feel so sorry for everyone lor.. cos i tink everyone had spent so much time preparing.. esp the sec3s? den in the end, everyting had to be reduced n cancelled cos of time.. argh. and i feel sorry for the sec 4s too.. cos dun tink they really enjoyed their last nite..like i said, its not anyone's fault.. perhaps its the sch, cos the rule is that sch gate closes at 730. pity pity!
hmm and so the pop day ended and i brought home everyting i had a bgss.. actually one year was really short.. it passed without really noticing..so many tings happened, and i guess ive grown up alot.. den its so fast that yesterday was the last day already and ive done so many tings for the last time..
Last time to:
-wear full-uniform, cos no next time already
-identify myself wif npcc, which ive done for the past 6 years, which is exactly 1/3 of my lifetime so far
-be addressed as a CI or a 'sir'
-give commands and be greeted
-give instructions and expect them to be obeyed, cos of the authority
-be officially attached to bgss npcc, cos next time im juz a visitor
-enter the np room without having to ask for permission, cos next time im not even considered an np cadet
-maintain a CI-cadet relationship wif everyone
-scold, cos not CI anymore...but i will still scold if its really serious
-plan and conduct trainings, cos next time i will have no say in everying..it will be the new CI's job
-wear CI shirt, cos next time i dun haf the right to wear it..
-and so many many more.. well. from today onwards im retrenched..lol.
its a little sad to put down everyting.. cos although one year is short, it is still sufficient for someone to build up feelings.. so, having to step out of bgss at 730pm was weird la.. i duno when i will step in again... BUT, im still glad that this one year would certainly be part of a great memory.. the days ive spent here would be unforgettable, and i really feel so lucky to haf decided to go for CI course in june 2004. IF that fateful day i didnt make that decision, things would be so so so much different. my life now will be sooo different.. perhaps i wouldnt enjoy that much now.. perhaps there wun be such a great memory for me to remember.. and oso, bgss wun haf me as a CI lol.. but if i din go for CI course last year, they should be getting MUCH BETTER CIS rite?? oops.. im so sorry to have deprived bgss npcc of a much better CI than me.. sorry sorry. but really, i guess i didnt make the wrong decision to join CI and quit taekwondo. afterall im already black belt..ok, A DAMN lousy one la, but i guess npcc had become my life lor..but right now, i have to leave npcc already, my connections wif npcc shall end here for good.. i can really say I REALISED IVE NEVER REGRETTED.. :D.

let me take a closer look at my one year stay..
10 july 2004.. i entered this school wif no idea of wad i can expect.. i was abit lost, very uncertain of how the next one year would turn out to be.. i was nervous n scared la..it all seemed so foreign.. den i met mrAzahar, he gave me a gd impression of the place, the unit, the ppl.. den the 1st training.. met the sec 4 ncos, esp the heads.. den they intro-ed us alot to the unit, and slowly slowly, i spent the next few weeks trying to get used to the unit, the system, the way it all worked, everyting.. it was much different from dhs's system, so i wasnt used to it initially.. to be frank, i was shocked at how tings were going on in this unit lor.. really shocked.. i din noe wad to do.. i was so tempted to change everyting, to the way i was familiar wif.. but well, in the end never.. cos perhaps every unit has its own uniqueness.. its own traditions.. so instead of getting ppl to change for me, i have to change myself and get used to everyting..
very soon, msFung approached us n told us abt the 18 september 2004 soccer comp.. bgss is organising a gals soccer comp! oh no, i tot.. msFung was new, and we were new too.. so we had to find our own way to organise this big event.. it was a totally GREAT shock to me, when we were told we cant find referees.. den the CIs had to be referees. OH NO! On that day itself, juz minutes before the 1st match starts, i was still trying to get the rules into my head lor.. but thanks to the current sec 4s and current sec3s for their help, if not i really duno wad will become of me lor.. cos i really duno de.. haha. and on that day, i only blowed whistle twice for every match..once to start the match and once to end. lol. i can remember that day got kokoon jeremy teckkai and some others.. den oso got rajpal n weechang, whose names i only got to noe in this year's nco camp..without them, i really die la.. den some tings oso happened that day, some units werent happy..but im glad that everyting was ok overall.. HMM. this year the comp is coming again..30 july.. haha. hope our gals can do it this time la..last yr we sent 2 teams and both got eliminated on the 1st round..
den i remembered accompanying current sec4s to a guys' soccer comp in a sch in psr.. the 1st match was played against the home team lor.. den we almost won actually.. haha. ok but nvm cos it was a great try..and i tink the sch organised the soccer comp much better than us.. lol .
den we organised nco refresher course during the sept hols too..den refreshed them on their skills n drills n everyting.. den after the exams break, soph came back as a CI and soon after HO came back too..
from then on, the 3 CIs planned n conducted countless trainings, did lectures, took pt, set tests, gave drill tests and oso did the nco camp.. HO was really a gd guide..we were all learning along wif her.. these were great experiences.. and i tink the nco camp was unforgettable lor.. actually i was and is still tinking that it is a big pity that the camp was only 2D1N. TOO short too lor.. didnt have the time to teach alot of things..and i tink the sec 3s still lack alot alot alot of knowledge n skills.. argh.. now dun haf the chance to teach them liao lorrrr.. it was until the nco camp that i got to noe the sec 3s better la.. cos b4 that, i nv took notice of them.. cos their attendance was the worst.. den always din see them.. hmm.
den after nco camp, it was juz a few weeks b4 pop liao lor..
actually looking back, i feel abit guilty la, for doing only so little.. one year is alraedy very short and yet i din raelly do much for the unit.. so feel abit guilty.. i doubt ive made any difference to the unit lehhhh.. haiyoz..

hmm. now its really the end of the journey la.. i dare to say ive seen SO MUCH in the unit.. thanks bgssnpcc, for helping me to grow n mature, for making me see sooo much more than last time, for giving me the exposure, for letting me serve in this unit n get to noe so many more ppl, for giving me the chance to learn so much too, for giving me such a nice memory, for giving me such a wonderful experience.. i haf so much thanks to say.. cos im REALLY REALLY GRATEFUL.
from the deepest of my heart, i THANK EVERYBODY in the unit for EVERYTING they've done.. cos these ppl are really nice.. they simply rock! im grateful.. im really really raelly grateful.. thanks so so so so much..
i hope the unit can clinch a silver award this year... and i guess, i'll be missing the unit for some time...

to be really frank wif myself, when i got back the papers, i wasnt even the least disappointed.. cos actually i've long expected this results la.. when i sat for the papers during jct and after i handed in, i knew wad will b the outcome lor. so really honestly, i din even feel disappointed..at all. but really la, this is not at all satisfying and i really really wanna buck up liao.. THIS TIME IS FOR REAL. i've made a pact wif myself liao and this time IM REALLY gonna follow. hello, prelims is 9 weeks away only and the A levels is NO joking matter lor. One wrong step = One big turning point in life. NO way am i gonna gamble this away...
this jct i got damn lousy results????? NEVER MIND. this is the last time im seeing such results already. but i feel abit bad la.. cos i tink ive let down mr D and mr andy.. hai.. im so sorry.. but i promise i shall put in my full force in the next 9 weeks. thank you jct too, for waking me up. im now awoken, and i shall pay my full attention on studies..
den today oso went bg for training. its the very last training b4 pop day. today gave sec2s 3rd class drill test too.. den MY VOICE IS STILL NOT BACK. so really had difficulties shouting la.. hope my voice will be back very soon lor.. muz be back by pop yea?? Hmm. still need to prepare alot of things for pop sia.. but nvm la.. its ok de.
well.. ya. thats all for today lor. sian la. will get back more papers in the next 2 days.. i can foresee poor results too.. but Hey, its the last time im seeing such results alraedy!!

yOoooOOoo!! Having vanished from blogging for 4 or 5 days, I'M BACK!! heeeeeeee.. the past 4 days were juz great!!!! really duno how to explain lor.. its the kind of feeling of going to heaven after days of torture in hell.. let me juz relate the events in the past few days...
FRIDAY 1ST JULY 05din haf to go sch that day.. cos i dun haf papers on.. JCT had ended by then and it was really a heavy load put down.. den in the afternoon went to BG for my last official normal friday training.. the day's activities werent interesting to tok abt la.. the sec1s n 2s revised on how to receive badges in ceremony n so on... den peiyi came back to visit, cos AHS had sports day.. so we all chatted abit.. the day's training ended wif a badges ceremony... FINALLY, we can clear off the NW n CP badges that we had owed them for like 3-4 months.. heng that we can manage to clear our debt juz b4 we pass out.. and so the ceremony took quite some time, and not surprisingly, some forgot the procedure of receiving badges.. nvm.
and then came a surprise lor.. actually at 1st i brought my camera oso, and wanted to take pics wif vin n soph in full uniform la, cos im scared that next friday wun haf that much time.. so, vin n i went to the toilet to make our hair.. den, when we came out, the cadets were all outside and there was a cake!!! LoL!! haha. when i 1st saw, i was abit touched.. haha.. and so they all sang a birthday song for me, asked me to make a wish n den blow out the candles.. but i wasnt stupid to follow wad they say la => to take out the candles wif my mouth.. if i did it, i cant imagine the outcome la.. most imptly, the cake would be wasted rite......
juz as immediately after that, water bombs came crashing down lor..LoL.. and of cos had to run la.. but in the end surrendered... LOOK at how many ppl there are lor..haha.. n so was drenched, and my plans of taking fotos wif vin n soph were failed................ haha. looks like next friday muz really find time to take fotos. AND next friday muz really b more careful liao, after seeing wad they did huh.. haha. And i had to bring back my full-U lor.. so mafan.. cos initially i planned to leave it in BG, den after POP den bring home.. but now, hafta bring it to Tj on next wed..
so after got bombed -unfairly- , since its all-on-one, i went back np room to cut cake.. cake was not bad..but still cudnt prevent my face from getting smeared by cake.... LUCkiLY these few days din get pimples LOR.. haha.
ok la, this whole ting was really unexpected.. i really thank them for their effort n for being so SWEET.. lol. really enjoyed the last official normal friday training and the celebration was kindof unforgettable la.. haha. and nope, i wasnt angry or wad la, for those hu may tink i was... im not a petty person k.. i was juz in a big hurry.. cos the whole ting ended at 730pm and i haf a bus to catch at 930pm =>>to GENTING. and yet there are so many tings for me to settle betwn the 2 hrs..so i was really in a hurry... but wadever it is, a MILLION THANKS once again!!
SATURDAY 2ND JULY 05finally.. its THE DAY!! GENTING!! waited for so long b4 the JCT.. and here it is!! the bus wasnt too bad..cos the seats were comfy n big.. and they are massage chairs too..but den, all that still cudnt make us slp during the journey lor..except for mok. so actually, when we reached genting on sat morning 530am, we werent in our greatest active mode..the early morning was spent by walking n walking.. we walked rather long lor..to orientate ourselves n familiarise abit.. though its my 10++ times there already, but still, dere wud b changes everytime i go.. so still need to walk walk abit.. breakfast was noodles.. i tink it sucks la.. but wadever lor, since there werent many choices available at such an early hour..8am came. THEME PARKS are open!! we chionged to buy tics den played.. indoors n outdoors.. bumper cars, roller coasters, thrill rides, go kart and blah blah.. for the 4 hours until 12pm, we completed most of the thrill rides n roller coasters.. haha.. i guess its really an eye-opener for some of us la, esp ys since he nv entered a theme park b4.. den roy was scared of heights.. heheheheh. i oso lor.. but those genting roller coasters n thrill rides were already nothing to me already cos im immune to them already.. hMm probably except for space shot..den we went to check in. THE QUEUE WAS SO DAMN LONG. we waited for 1++ hour for our turn. efficiency was very low. poorrrr... den we got up to the 1st wrld hotel (i dun wanna spell out in full), and it totally suckkkk. the room was sooooo small and the tings inside juz suck la. Ive never seen a 3-in-1 soap.. its actually a shampoo-cum-body foam-cum-hands washing liquid.. den cant even boil water inside.. ok, i still tink all these are reasonable la, since the rates are low..after a pizza lunch, we went back to outdoor theme park, cos we really need to conquer space shot, which is the BEST (or worst, depending how u view it) ride.. the most thrilling one.. cos u wud be brought up 56 metres high (if each storey is 2.5 metres high, that wud be like at least 12 storeys la), den pause at that height for more than 10 secs, den u'll b dropped at free fall.. the feeling is likened to a person committing suicide..u'll exp weightlessness.. so scary la.. though this time was my 5th time already, but my height phobia still made me very nervous, esp when im slowly brought up to the great height.. AND b4 all 7 of us decided to take the ride, it was not easy to convince rach n roy to take..haha.. but luckily they did eventually, cos its really someth satisfying n im sure they dun regret it rite? and we continued playing at the theme park until 8 someth in the night.. b4 we left the theme park, we stayed outside Arena of stars (the concert hall), cos got Lee Hom's concert.. den some of us recorded his songs into fones/mp3 players.. den outside the theme park, we oso took our own's INITIAL D foto.. haha so seh lor.. i shall post the fotos tmr..our supper was at coffee bean.. then after 12am, they celebrated my birthday!!! hahahaa.. very cute la.. the gals went to buy a slice of cheesecake, den duno how they found 1 candle n 1 lighter lor.. so its one candle on one slice of cheesecake lol... haha, really really muz thank all of them too!!!! its already gd enuf to celebrate my birthday overseas liao..!OK. the INTERESTING part comes. we were back at the hotel room. den after some crap, we decided to slp liao. the gals n guys rooms were adjoining, n we left the door betwn us open la..den all of us decided to slp liao n we were all in bed.. DEN SUDDENLY, the lights n fans blacked out, EXCEPT for one light, duno y oso.. so it more or less shocked us.. den naturally, imaginations will run wild la, especially dere r so so so so many stories abt the hotel we lived in..it seems that this hotel does haf some poor reputation.. DEN, since the fan was shut off, the whole 2 rooms became so silent lor.. in the deadly n scary silence, ys, rach and roy claimed they heard sounds.. LOL. though the whole situation IS scary la, cos only the 2 rooms in the entire hotel blacked out, I TINK they really thought too much lor. there werent any sounds ma.. den all 7 of us went to lobby n complained. the reception person said maintenance will arrive in 30 mins so we went up back to our rooms.. THEN, WE OPENED THE DOOR, only to realise that the lights n fans were switched on!! ER.. weird lor. but none of us cared already, cos we were juz too tired..SUNDAY 3RD JULY 05After a good nite's slp, we woke at ard 10am.. hee.
but the bad news was, I LOST MY VOICE. AHHhhhhh really regretted screaming the whole of the day before lor.. argh.. shouldnt haf screamed and its all the wrong time la.. okok. serves me right..
den we all got ready n went to sing KARAOKE!! the lunch package was quite drooling.. RM 8 for lunch + drinks + snacks + room + 2 hours.. ok la, its abit better than our spore's K Lunch la.. so much cheaper.. but the ting is, i cant sing well laaaaaaaaaa.. stupid throat.. stupid voice.. sooo.. didnt really enjoyed the singing session lor..only sang a few songs but heng that the package was cheap la.. haha. and we oso videoed some MTVs of ourselves.. rather funny la but abit messy.. we sang a few songs together and they were all videoed down..
after k-ing, we went to take cable car.. and took, oh i mean tried taking, alot of fotos in the cable car.. its another first-time experience for some of us lor.. like roy n ys.. haha. den the journey up was better n more enjoyable, cos we sang all the way up.. songs that brought us memories of our cadet days n our very own sqd songs.. hee.. mok recorded it down in her mp3 player oso..
went hotel room n took more fotos dere.. after that, we went KARAOKE AGAIN!! LOL. a bit crazy though, but really, din sing n enjoyed enuf in the aftnn lor. so we went for the K-dinner package.. only RM 10.. and again, cos of my lost of voice, i din really sing.. but i tot the food was nice la..
after singing, we went to visit the Ripley's Believe it or not exhibition.. my second time dere already..but its really nice to see the exhibits again.. and really hoped the other 6 of them enjoyed.. we spent 2 hrs walking thru the whole exhibition and took some fotos too.. really an eye-opener..
KENNY Rogers' supper was next!! the price was cheaper there, but the serving was less la.. hMm. but anyhow, anyting wud be nice, cos we were all hungry...
back at hotel, we all gathered at the guys' room and played the whole nite.. the concentration game was the best lor.. made us all so high.. hee.. den at ard 430, i went to catch an hour of sleep b4 waking at 5 plus to prepare for the next day..
MONDAY 4TH JULY 05The day started early.. we went to have buffet breakfast n ate our fill.. but all of us ate until very tired.. n we dozed off at our tables.. haha..
den we checked out n shopped for close to 3 hours.. but there wasnt much to shop dere la.. so i only bought some tings.. den it was the journey back already..YaWnZzz.

hai.. enjoyment seems to end so fast.. to tink before JCT, i was still counting down 10 odd days for this trip.. hMm. so fast so fast!! But i tink im really lucky to haf gone for this trip lor.. so damn enjoyable.. really unforgettable.. really had so much fun wif my dearest sqdmates.. i wonder where we'll go next.. hope its the end of the year ba.. den mayb go further..by plane..
these 4 days were juz so great.. arghhhhh.!!!! the thought of having to wake up after these heavenly days were juz bad.. now really really muz wake up liao.. from wed onwards, i haf to wake up n mug le.. JCT results wun be satisfying and prelims is juz 9+ weeks away.. argh.

BUT FOR NOW, ITS TIME TO REVERT BACK TO REALITY AGAIN.. LET'S JUZ WORK HARD FOR THE NEXT 4 MONTHS UNTIL AFTER A LEVELS DEN WE SHALL GO OVERSEAS AGAIN YEA?!
