I'm a few hours to my next race! It feels good to be involved in AHM for the 3rd consecutive time.
I shall TRY to sleep early tonight. I hope this is the best thing I can do now, as I feel very under-prepared. I didn't run as much as I should during the vacation, especially the whole of July.
And so I doubt I can reach the finishing line by 7:30am.
But no matter what, my race must be done by 8:00am.

The last day of the vacation was spent with CampComm, the people whom I saw the most during the holidays. We Sentosa-ed the day, and attempted to squeeze more activities into this last cherished day, with last bouts of LamianXiaoLongBaos / the 8BeatGame / Volleyball etc etc.
I can tell how much we all emo-ed today, before facing a brand new academic year ahead.
All of us had soo much fun in the past 3 months. So much so that it was really a little depressing to think about what we're all gonna face in the next 4 months.
Like what some put it: "Engin Camp Committee was the best thing that happened to me in NUS so far." I totally second that statement, cos it really captured my best moments so far in NUS. I love the CampComm, I love the days I've spent with them over the past 3 months.
I seriously hope that with the onslaught of lectures and tutorials and all the mugging shit, we'll not start to drift apart. It'll be the saddest thing to happen.
This had really been the best holidays/vacation I've had.
The various Freshmen Orientation Projects that I've never thought I would set foot upon.
The 2 unforgettable overseas trips that I made in July.
The wonderful Stefanie Sun concert that I attended.
The countless meet-ups, Night cyclings, outings and gatherings with various groups of friends.
Thank you everybody, for making my vacation so wonderful.
Perhaps I'll try to think of all these moments, whenever I'm not in my highest spirits in this coming semester. Thank you once again! I will survive the 6 modules in this new semester!

Heng ah!
The TV station was good enough not to screen my auditions! It would be kinda embarrassing otherwise!
On another note, I think the NDP this year was great, based on television telecast. And I seriously wonder how lukewarm the response would be, for that 8:22pm Pledge-taking moment.
But still, nice holidays, especially when it gives me an extra day of vacation!

Engin O Week ended! I couldn't join last year's, but it did seem that this year's was better. Weijie definitely made a powerful emcee throughout the week and that was probably an important contributing factor.
Although I didn't really think the games in the programmes were fantastic, but the 'Engin got Talent' segment was good, especially the magic performance that stunned everyone with open jaws. 'Engin Race' was only fun when we decided to take embarrasing photos in town area, like the Algorithm March, and the hundreds of camwhoring with Ronald McDonald's/statues/etc.
I especially loved the 'Finale Night', when almost everyone donned their school uniforms. I had wanted to wear the DHS uniform, but I had overgrown the shirt, which had also turned yellow. You can't expect how much camwhoring there was before and after the Finale.. All kinds of formal/informal/geek-y/delinquent shots--so fun, considering it was most probably the last time we would all wear uniforms together in a setting. Then the calls for different JCs to take photos were fun, because of the incessant JC cheers and college anthems that resonated under the roofs of the PGP multi-purpose hall. Haven't heard such a loud 'TJ cheer' and the 'Thunderation' cheer for quite some time.
On our own, we Engin Camp Comm had fun taking up 2 OGs in Geek House. We had fun preparing for the mascots before the O week, and of course, during the week too. OH yes, we climbed rooftops! Plus the Lamian-xiaolongbao extreme-fied versions with extreme-fied forfeit threats! It was all so great that when the week ended, I started to lament about when would be the next time we could all have such fun again. =(
I also realised there were very respectable people during O week too. Take Gwen for example, she did so much for Engin--not just being in Oweek comm and coming up with the mass dance, but also playing the lead role in the Engin Rag dance performance. The thing is, she's a true blue FASS student! But really, come to think of it, having someone outside Engin to be so actively involved in Rag, just put the rest of us in great shame.
Rag is always one of the NUS events that I look forward to, probably because it is the event that best captures the vibrant culture in the university, in a competitive nature. I love to see how all the hard work put in by all the faculties and halls pay off, in the form of spectacular floats and unimaginable cheerleading dances. They were all so cool. Rag is a unique culture. That is why it ought to be continued. Yes, even Engin Rag, at all costs.
We have to tell everyone that: We are from (*clap) En (*clap) Gin (*clapclap)!
