Currently undergoing my 1st ever ICT, which I had been looking forward to for the past 6 months. The break from work is heavenly, and though it's only been 2 days so far, I'm already enjoying this temporary slower pace of life.
In fact, the contrast was stark. In the few days running up to the eve of my ICT, I had to put in 13-hour days in an attempt to clear as much work on hand as possible. The mad rush at work was tormenting and for days I left the empty office with half-closed eyes and an exhausted body.
Then came the first day of ICT. The many pockets of (free) time in between programmes took a while of getting used to. But these are very welcomed, as these rest times (sometimes amounting to shut-eye moments) are a luxury in a typical working day.
As I usher in a new week tomorrow, there's hardly any Monday Blues. If there's an option to extend ICT, I probably would.
人生是黑白的.
