Today's the annual date with S.H.E. And got the latest album autographed by them. I think this is the 6th S.H.E autograph session that i've been to already, excluding S.H.E concerts and performance gigs.
And it's actually the first time that we start queueing AFTER the autograph session had started. NO, we weren't late--we were 4 hours early actually. But the queue was already so long that it's already outside the mall and if we queued, we won't be able to see anything! SO we made the smart choice of getting a good view from 2nd storey, watched their performances and interviews, then queued after the performance segment had ended.
10am-- Reached EastPoint
2pm-- Live Radio Segment Started
3pm--Live Radio segment Ended/Performances (2 songs)
3:20pm-- Performances Ended/Started queueing
6pm-- Got our autograph
Couldn't help MH get her album signed, cos they restricted it to 1-person-1-album signed, cos the band needed to rush to another event.
It's pretty cool to see how the normally-sleepy-and-slow Eastpoint got colonised by thousands of S.H.E supporters, and continuous screams from the audience, who occupied all SIX storeys of the shopping mall. But still, from the 6-7 years of attending S.H.E events, I've seen more supporters before. Those were times when music and albums sales weren't as sluggish as it is today. But judging from the turnout and queue at the event today, this [FM SHE] album sales weren't bad.
6-7 years already! Admittedly I almost couldnt believe it when YS mentioned. Recently some pointed that they've past the idol-worshipping age and it would feel weird to attend such events. Actually, i DID look around the place today. Of course, there were a pretty good number of people younger than I, BUT MOST were either of the same age or older. These people (the majority) are probably supporters that had been listening to the band since the earlier days, like us. So, in a way, all of us grew up together with S.H.E, who are nearing the end of their twenties. There isn't any awkwardness with attending these events. It's really like a massive get-together session. It's become a habit, a commitment, a tradition. A sure-thing.
And over these 7 years, different S.H.E songs had been in synonym with certain memories:
-Like when I hear 恋人未满，I'll remember how Yuzhi introduced this band to me.
-When I hear 热带雨林，I'll remember the lyrics written behind the class (on the noticeboard behind), and get reminded of Sec 3 days. 美丽新世界 too.
-And 爱呢 reminds me of the MTVs that I illegally saved inside the old comp in NP room, and get reminded of the other illegal things we did inside.
-And SUPERSTAR reminds me of the day Roy, YS and I mugged at GE Lib, after they had just bought the album and brought it there. I still remember where we sat that day. It was on the floor.
-And 奇幻旅程 album reminded me that I actually spent 10 over hours at Cineleisure to get my autograph, after ponning GP tutorial.
-And Encore album reminded me of OCIP somehow. Probably cos I remember a few of us once spammed 痛快。
-And when S.H.E came for 不想长大 autograph, I just got enlisted and it was on a Hari Raya holiday and I didnt go cos I knew I wouldnt be able to make it at IMM on time.
-And because I missed the previous autograph, I was so determined to go for 'FOREVER' album's event, that I found a way to skip my understudy duty DURING OJT.
-The 移动城堡演唱会DVD album was autographed the day after I attended their concert. I enjoyed the concert to bits, even though I (together with the other 8000 audience) stood the entire duration of the concert.
-The 'PLAY' album had a number of events, including a mini concert. I got reminded of the Navy days, cos these songs (and 孙燕姿's 逆光 album) kept me alive then. The 中国话 lyrics were memorised within a day, during my QM duties on the day after I first heard the song.
-I'm not sure what I'll associate 'FM SHE' album with, but whatever it is, it would certainly be special.
I'm not sure when I'll stop attending autograph sessions altogether. It's currently still something that I don't feel out-of-place in. Probably until when I can't find any friends to attend with me anymore. Or probably when I'm horribly outnumbered by younger people.
Next up is on Wednesday: Fish Leong's autograph session. And her songs, too, are synonymous with yet another set of memories.

Karaoke Kraze #1: 15th feb, sunday.
We (roy, mok, ys) had a mini karaoke outing+dinner, amidst all our busy workload, to celebrate roy's 22nd. Dinner at waraku was not bad, cos we were assigned to a private room, with Japanese mats and cushions.
The TeoHeng outing cost about $8 each for 3 hours, with super updated songs of albums released a month ago, like CheerChen's, Show Luo's, LeeHom's etc.

We (pam, dicky) had a mini karaoke outing+dinner, amidst all our busy workload, to have some fun before mid-terms. Dinner at ClarityCafe was not bad too.
The TopOne outing cost about $16 each for 7 hours, with not-so updated songs. They didn't even have HuangJingLun's songs, which was released last year, let alone those after. 不过，拼命点老歌也不错。

And Hurrays for the First-Ever cut on public transport fares. It's only gonna last for 15 months though, and i'm sure the rise of the fares after these 15 months will be more than the 2-cent cut.
