Its Dad's bday today!
I went to buy a long-sleeved shirt from 77thStreet for him. Yeah surprise surprise! I had wanted to buy something like a wallet, but it dawned on me that he would surely not bear to use it, so i guess buying a shirt should be more practical. He should appear to be younger in that light-coloured long-sleeve in the coming CNY visits!
Anyway, i was caught in a surprise test during today's jap make-up lesson, and i realise how occasional was my own revisions. Ok, any reasons i can think of are just excuses. Im plain lazy. But i won't be, at least for the coming week, cos the test is coming! Time to brace up!

Blogspot really gave me a good scare last night, by making it impossible for anyone to access this page, by making it an error..Perhaps the more you are in this activity, the more painful it will be when it's all lost. So although im temporarily relieved that the error has been rectified, i'm also unsure how i'd feel on the day that i decide to wind up this thing.
Anyway, sailing had been cancelled due to very bad sea state out there, which is potentially dangerous for such a ship like ours. Now i just hope this sailing schedule is cancelled, rather than postponed. Seriously, i'd rather do 5 overnight duties than to go for 1 sailing. Its not because of the rough sea state that i'll experience, but because of the immense mental stress that i'll undergo.
And speaking about duties, I'm slated for CNY EVE. And i've decided to settle that using the you-know-what method. That is the only way that i can ensure myself not to spend a miserable new year eve night doing rope-splicing and other meaningless stuff, as opposed to having annual reunion dinner and watching countdown shows. I've promised myself that whatever I'd paid for this time round, i'll make sure i'll have them returned next time by doing other duties. So, the amount doesnt really matter.
And there seem to be a group of ppl who are willing to volunteer cny duties, seeing it as a way to getting quick bucks. One example, is someone who WASN'T even arranged to do cny duties, but in the end, decided to "volunteer" for EVE, DAY ONE and DAY THREE of CNY. Yes, i do agree that the 'reward' for just these 3 days beats whatever income from hongbaos, but i feel that CNY is just a once-a-year thing and that nothing actually replaces the joyous atmosphere. But hey, the presence of this group of ppl really makes it easier for the duty-unwillings to search for their answers.
And oh, i'm glad february has arrived. This signifies the passing of yet another month. 9 more, before i'll be ending my unhappiness. Actually today i felt really down the whole day, mainly because i lost my drive early in the morning, after being wrongly-accused for not doing this and that. I REALLY HATE IT, when i've done a certain level of job, say 90%, but missed out a very small part, and THEY just spread that i didnt do the entire job at all.
The more the number of days passed, the stronger I want to leave. Thanks so much for giving me such bad experience and memories. Thanks for not letting me develop a slightest sense of belonging to the ship, at least i can really maintain a clear-cut relationship on the very day of 5th November, on which I may burn that piece of contact list too.
A little warning to people who has 'eaten' me or who are going to eat me in the next 9 months onboard: I'm not really someone who forgive and forget.

I think Singapore fans were just great! From the very 1st second that the concert started, the stadium was standing, all the way to the end.. [Ella had to suggest ppl to sit down during some of the slower songs to enable us to have some rest in between..] The entire night was just so high--screams in between the songs, and when S.H.E were singing, it was just like a 9000-strong KTV. During the rock/fast-paced songs, every one's green lightsticks went hitting at the air according to the beat, and while S.H.E sang the slower numbers, the lightsticks went swaying from side to side. It was really a beautiful sight.
Selina's mini skirt totally came off during her sexy solo dance segment. At the Shanghai show, her skirt came off just halfway, revealing her safety shorts inside, and she was quickly covered by Hebe and Ella. But for last night's show, the skirt totally dropped off, and she continued the entire performance! And this has become a warm topic by the newspaper media today.
Anyway, the concert stage design was grand and majestic, and there were many props used, all enhancing the visual impact of the show. And although Fahrenheit and Stefanie Sun were just special guests, they were able to command the atmosphere of the stadium. A small climax was reached when S.H.E sang "First Day" with Stefanie. Another great climax came during "美麗新世界", when S.H.E came down and circled the stadium once. The audience totally went crazy and some of the already-standing audience even went on to stand on their seats.
For the Taiwan show last month, after the first encore, the audience stayed on and kept asking for a 2nd encore, which was unplanned. And at that time, the live band had left and S.H.E were already undressing, but came out for 1 more song. SO, Singapore fans wanted a repeat telecast of this. After the first encore, quite a big group stayed on, including us, and we kept chanting "Encore!". The live band had already left and staff were clearing up. THEN, those security came and asked the remaining ppl to leave.. That's the difference between Singapore and other countries' organisers--Singapore ones are more rigid and inflexible..
But whatever it is, it was a great night. The tickets were worth it and it was totally enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to the next concert tour!

A sidenote:
Given that all the days of anticipation and excitement are now gone with the passing of the much-awaited concert, it is time for me to face the dreadful reality. Lots of sailings are coming my way, with 4 days of sailing starting TMR! With nothing much to look forward to in the near future, except for CNY and those CNY DUTIES, days would be a little harder to get by..
