S-Pop Hurray! Went to watch the recording at the studio and took some pictures. Main guest was Chen WeiLian, with some of his Project Superstar friends. It took almost 4 hours to get all that done! I guess I was caught on tape, since it was a small audience and the camera was so near. It would only be aired in December.

Months ago, I would be painstakingly counting down the weeks and days to the Big Day. Now that the days are countable with both hands and that the Day is so near, the excitement level had, ironically, not risen further.
3 full weeks of rest, including this week's MC, had more-than-enough enabled me to detach myself from the woes of working under an unfeeling organisation. Yes, freedom has already returned to me and that feels heavenly. But think of it this way: this kind of world belonged to me in the first place. Only that it was cruelly taken away for a good 22 months.
I suppose I need ad-hoc assignments for november. I seriously need to supplement my coffers. A series of ORD celebrations and 2 overseas trips, and the list of materialistic wants, plus thoughts of taking up interest courses, would only hasten the depletion. Morever, I guess the 3 weeks of rest would suffice in doing me good...
BUt ad-hocs aren't easy to come ah!

3/4 of the Lazy Sect (ys + geraldine + me) were at a Japanese restaurant in Marina Square. We had wanted to order this, $6.50:
Then we saw this, which is the same thing, without the scoop of ice cream, $4.50:
Then elsewhere in the menu, we saw the ice-cream, $1.50:
So YS was fast to suggest buying these separately: 
And with some DIY, we got this:
And guess what, not only did we get that exact $6.50 dessert cheaper, the ice cream was even MORE than what we would have got in that $6.50 dessert, as it was more than 1 scoop! And yes, we also earned the cone FREE!Lesson learnt: Do study the menu carefully. There's a way to get around it..And in some way or another, because of this, we broke into hysterical laughter, so hard that it made me gasping for breath. I've never had such a hard laugh in YEARS and it was just amazing how the trio held the laughter continuously for more than 5 minutes and thereafter complained of muscle pains in the abdominals.
