3 christmas house gatherings this year.
#1: The OCIP one at Hak's house was a 'half-hearted' potluck, because it fell on a friday and most people couldn't prepare food from work/school. But it was more important that we had quite a good turnout this year (2 years since the previous party at Hak's). Good catch-up over jokes and crap, ending off with good board game sessions. I think, somehow, the frequency of meet-ups should increase, to ward off the subconscious awkwardness and formalities.
#2: The Campcomm one at Chunhong's house's becoming an annual event too, and the meaningful part was that everyone really brought/prepared a dish, making the dinner one of a Western/Eastern mix. I prepared cereal prawns for the 3rd time ever, and I can taste the slight improvement now, hur hur. Finishing the spread of food was the problem again (as at any other potluck events). The stayover event carried on through the night with card games. The 三国杀 game's fever is catching on!
#3: The 07/04 one at Peishan's house was, (like all other previous years'), full of good food. The highlight continued to be our yearly gift exchange laughters, with teases of whoever's presents that the majority think are the worst, and whoever's unlucky to receive them. I think there's no way that a 07/04 gathering will end without laughter too. The coming CNY gathering shall be one that's being looked forward to.
After 3 back-to-back gatherings over the christmas weekend, it's time to end my FYP and end the year. And it's almost time for the annual tradition of this blog--the annual review. Stay tuned.
