Right, my 2nd entry of the day.. Well, i have to distinguish between personal entries and current affairs entries, which is something that i injected into this space last week. Otherwise it would be all too boring to rattle about a dull life.
Currently suffering from a couple of ulcers in my mouth. At least 3 actually. Makes it so hard to eat good food now. But it really does show how unhealthy my life becomes, once im out of camp. During my one week leave break, i slept at the wee hours of the night, and wake up at timings close to noon-time. And i indulge in heaty and unhealthy junk food and chocolates. Maybe thats how the ulcers found their way in.
Last monday was a kbox session with mok n pL. And a sakae buffet after that. Didnt expect them to be free that day, cos i thought everyone else who are not in ns, would be working. It was then that i got to hear of an exploding secret that is still more or less under wraps now.
Wednesday was a day that i went to add new members to my wardrobe. Spent 80 on those new items. So i'll have to slow down my output for the rest of the month already.
I had driving lessons on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. As usual, major and minor mistakes everytime, which never fail to demoralise. It does keeps me worried, especially when the test date crawls near each week. Hopefully things will get better.
Yesterday was supposed to have a class outing. But apparently no one bothered to inform me of a change in date. But thankfully i didnt make a wasted trip to the city area, cos i had to change my earphone anyway. YS went as well. Then we managed to get jiaozhu out.. didnt catch any movies cos none of them appeals.. didnt get to play pool cos it was full house... so the night was spent at the deserted playground at sunplaza park. And had a simple supper nearby.
And oh, im accepted into the Nanyang Business School in NTU. A 3-year accountancy course awaits me. But i've yet to hear from NUS. So let's see..
Hmm, having the luxury of not booking in last week (cos of the 1-week block leave) means that my book-in blues this week is double-dosed. Sigh... Really lehh. After one week of civilian life and a rare 9-day of consecutive sleeping on my own bed really makes me feel very unwilling to book in later tonight. This feeling sucks man. I dun wanna book in!!!!!!!!!!
ORD, come quick leh!!

MyElectionsGossip#5As if an elections routine, cheesoonjuan(csj) once again made grave statements, hitting at our political leaders. Statements that alleged that the govt is corrupted and things like that. Well, though i have no say whether the govt is corrupted or not, it is somewhat clear that csj was too rash. And was rather "hooligan", a word that MM used.
Csj's reputation in politics had already not been good... especially after rounds and rounds of court cases. In the last elections, law suits were also filed against him, making him a bankrupt and so was unable to contest in this year's elections. But, yet again, he didnt think twice about making serious statements, and went on to attack the most influential personnels in our country's politics. Is it that it is not satisfying to let an elections pass without engaging a lawsuit? Is it that he has nothing to lose now that he's a bankrupt? I guess its a publicising effort that has gone too far. It backfired. And now his party (sdp) has to face the backlash. (public apologies and a series of compensation).
And i believe such occurrences do paint black marks on the opposition flag as a whole. Other innocent parties like WP and SDA may suffer due to such reputation-tarnishing moves by the sdp. The opposition has a long way to go, and if the members decided on some rash moves and get backfired(by the govt) , will the electorate still have the confidence for them?
Csj is a radical figure in singapore politics. He is outspoken and daring. YEs, being outspoken and daring should be some underlying qualities of an opposition member, but it shouldnt be as extreme as his case. Voters are not accustomed to that, at least not yet. I would say that some of his actions taken are rather "scary" and the majority of the voters wouldnt feel safe with that.
With the sdp risks being disbanded and wound up, if it fails to compensate, it would more or less be gone for them in the elections. Continued negative reports would definitely make their contest in the elections a hard, rough and ill-rewarding one.
Perhaps the ruling party's candidates for Sembawang GRC can call for an early celebration.
