im back from CAC camp. The Engincamp committee gatecrashed. We didnt play good crashillor roles, cos we didnt stick much to the OG. But we had a great time having fun on our own. We really kinda treated the camp as a chalet--even had a steamboat in sch! Pictures are at FB.
I greatly appreciated our campcomm's efforts to throw in a surprise birthday celebration at GlassHouse. I started to suspect when yongxian+geyi took ages at the 'ATM'. Especially when I caught some whispering AND looking at my direction to see if I was listening. And more so when I was told "you'd better change into something nicer cos you won't regret it later!". I always have good observation skills..
And then i caught a staff walking past with a cake. And shuyi+gang were trying hard to hide. But really, it was much appreciated. I was more than happy and touched. I rarely get the attention by others, so probably i didnt react too excitedly. But it was really quite the opposite. =)

Anyway it was birthday today. (Ok, it's strictly 'Yesterday' by the time i post this). A simple affair it was. Actually, I don't fancy happening or lavish celebrations. Boring? Hardly, as long as the company is good. What more can you ask for right!
It was great catching up with WX today. Conversations are always insightful. I'm definitely inspired to do travelling alone. You won't ever get into any conflicts regarding travelling goals. I guess my travelling goals aren't as common as most people's agenda--to shop. I find it silly to spend hundreds/thousands to fly somewhere to get something marginally cheaper? It's the culture and sightseeing that appeals to me as a traveller. I still hope to cover 50 Unesco World Heritage sites before I die. And accomplish special things around the world too. Probably that's my life's goals.
I got quite a bit of FB well-wishes today. Frankly speaking, I cherish non-FB messages more. FB is essentially a too-convenient way of 'remembering' birthdays. Everyone's getting spoilt by the convenience, that not many bothers to commit birthdays to memory. As far as I can, I would send a personal message via SMS on the birthdays of closer friends whom i have HP contacts with, in the hope that they, too, will appreciate my efforts more. I can't possibly send birthday cards anymore. And apparently, my efforts to send hand-made 21st Birthday Cards didnt go down well last year, when none was reciprocated last year. Yup. 人缘不好。

And, to those who've been secretly complaining that I always have busy schedules and screwing meet-up plans, I should be freer in July! There's only 2 weeks to avoid! I need MJ and throat therapies.

Night Cycling ended! There're only about 80 participants this year, much less than last year's. But doing it with the campcomm made the company this year more enjoyable.The route this year was of an Eastern one. We went Simpang Bedok, then back to Kembangan, then continued to Selegie, then back to Kallang. Relatively short, with long meal breaks in between.I'm personally looking forward to our own squad night cycling #2. Shiwei, it must materialise again!
