It's the 5th night in Kansai already. We had since completed the Kyoto segment and had some pretty nice experiences--doing, eating, and seeing things that are not found in Singapore.
Among some of the highlights over the 4 days:
-Visited at least 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites during the trip so far
-Visited One of Japan's Three Scenic Views
-Soaked outselves in one of the most important festivals in Kyoto
-Seen for ourselves some of Japan's most valuable National Treasures
-Getting lost. And ended up walking about 12 out of 14 hours in Day 2.
-Came face to face with 150 wild monkeys
-Taken many modes of transport--plane/ railway/ subway/ bus/ boat/ cablecar
-Tried different authentic Japanese food at affordable prices
-Enjoyed 3 McPork burgers so far. You can't see it in Singapore.
-Met travellers all over the world, including a clique of NTU students on a Grad Trip
-Confused Japanese (and therefore, myself) with my wrong usage of particles & words
I'm sure Nara/Osaka/Kobe will be as filled with surprises and fun!.
人生是黑白的.
