I am very sian.
I'll have to report for duty hours later, and i'll be missing out on all the fun today.
#1: 4B BBQ. It seems like this year's annual bbq is drawing the most number of ppl.. And there are some classmates whom i've not met for years.. Being excluded from major gatherings like this makes me feel very awkward. hah, i duno how to describe.
#2: Ocip steamboat. coincidentally, my ocip friends are meeting for a steamboat in the evening as well. but even without my duty, i'll still be missing this, cos i've promised the 4B bbq earlier.
But sadly, really very sadly, i'll be dragging my feet back to ship in the morning. It would be most demoralising and daunting. Hopefully i can overcome all that by keeping myself occupied with the newspapers/jap homework/korean vcds that im bringing in..
AND, not just 30th im activated for duty. I kena on 1st JAN! Argh, what a way to celebrate new year. To do duty on the very first day of the year has really dampened my spirits of hoping to lead a bright new year ahead.
SOme of you may think that "i'm plainly suay!" BUT, i can tell you, it's all planned and part of the game. I'm NOT SUAY, i'm just BULLIED, cos they will purposely arrange the duties in such a way that the most junior ones will kena the most undesirable days to do duties. Which means to say, i can still expect days like CNY to be spent onboard.
please understand how i feel. It really, really doesnt feel nice. Especially with the thought of you slogging away when THE REST OF THE WORLD is celebrating. arghhhhhhhh.
its gonna be a dull end to year 2006, and a dull start to year 2007.

yesterday's mini gathering at cy's house was a little boring, cos there wasn't much things to do, except for a mahjong played by 8 people. But we did have a good laugh during the game.
Evening time, we all went to Ikea Tampines and fantasized over how wonderful it was if our homes are just like those showrooms. I especially loved those sofas and the beds, which were sooo comfy and sleep-inducing.. After an almost 1.5 hours of walk, it was our desired dinner. Curious over the great popularity of the meatballs, (everyone has been talking about it, even the papers), we had it as our appetiser, and gosh, it was heavenly! The meal of the day was good too, and the chicken wings looked and tasted well! I guess, that should be the highlight of the day.
This is the 3rd Xmas gathering we had as a clique of 07/04.. The 2004 one was a bbq at CY's house, the 2005 one was an outing at esplanade..
Hopefully this tradition goes on, well, at least for the remaining singles of the clique.

In the last post, i mentioned about wx calling into 933 once again, and very shortly after i logged off and shut down the pc, i tried calling, and I GOT IN!
Though i've succeeded in getting through that hot line a few years ago to take part in some contest, this is the first time that I actually held a conversation over the national radio. And admittedly, i was very nervous, so much so that i had things in mind to say, but i couldnt put them into words. I had wanted to tell the Dj jieqi, that i've supported his programme for at least 4 years, from his weekend afternoon slot until the current weekend nightime slot. And many more.
But still i dedicated the song to everyone who knows me. I specially mentioned my jc class and my squadmates, and had wanted to say more, but i didnt want it to sound too draggy. But nevertheless, it was dedicated to all of you. Hopefully u all got my best wishes!
And also because it was like 1:23am, only wx and meiqi heard it, but i'll continue to try next time! Like what wx said, calling into national radio is addictive.
