12th week into "My Year 3 Semester 1" album..

"Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore routes are revealed! Completely different routes for each event. All check-in baggages will also be transported to the End Point. Cool.
I must say, the routes are refreshing and exciting! Half Marathoners get to run INSIDE the Universal Studios Theme Park!

"Today, let me just raise the awareness that printer toners CAN be recycled. I recycled my 2nd Canon toner at Vivocity.
Let me further remind you the 4Rs: Reuse, reduce, recycle and Refuse plastic bags. I'd certainly count myself as a Failure friend if I'm unable to make you more environmentally-friendly."

Visited The Pinnacle@Duxton, the tallest HDB flats in Singapore. The $5-view provided quite a refreshing experience--it was windy and chilly up there. Enjoy the selectively uploaded photos!

Singapore Hit Awards 2010 #3
The $46 spent on the ticket was definitely worthwhile, given the not-bad seats and the top-quality performances, especially by the big names that graced the ceremony. Here're the highlights:
a) Opening: For the first time, they didn't sing the theme song,《永恒的光辉》. Instead, 郑可为、龚芝怡、DJ周崇庆、DJ蔡伟彬 performed a long medley of classic songs that had been recognised in the previous years. It was pretty enjoyable, when you know the lyrics to almost 80% of them and can sing along.
b) When Hebe went on stage to collect the 1st of 5 awards won by S.H.E, she talked about the current trying period that the group is facing now. She almost dropped tears. Video clips of Selina were played, and subsequently also played a video of what the local fanclub, S.H.E Ambience, did to encourage Selina -- folding thousands of paper cranes, which Hebe would bring back to Taiwan.
c) MagicPower魔幻力量 performed 《我是谁 我是谁 我是谁》。
d) 龚芝怡 performed 《明知我爱你》, a song she penned by herself. When her name announced for her 2nd award of the day, she was actually backstage. So she ran quite a distance, and ended up panting throughout the thank-you speech. So much that DJ周崇庆 were able to add more humour, by saying that she wasn't suffering from asthma.
e) 郑可为 performed 《可不可以》。I hope she'll have a mainstream Mandarin album soon.
f) 张信哲 & Olivia Ong performed 《幸福的力量》。One of the performances that I looked forward to. Both of them have very good vocals. It was just so satisfying to hear the duet.
g) 张芸京 performed 《相反的我》.
h) Then, Aunty Lucy + “蔡琴”(played by Michelle Chong) brought alot of laughter. These 2 (DJ周崇庆 + Michelle Chong) brought much entertainment last year too. The classic moments included their discussions about singer's English names, after taking a potshot at Olivia for not using a Chinese name, and many more. I loved this part.
i) 黄鸿升(小鬼) performed 《地球上最浪漫的一首歌》. It was embarrasing when the announcer pronounced his name as 鸿黄升, instead of 黄鸿升.
j) 方炯镔 自弹自唱 《坏人》and《遗憾》on the piano. This talented Malaysian was also one of the singers that I looked forward to. Undoubtedly, his performance was very 感人.
k) 蔡健雅 performed 《抛物线》and《Only Love》. This year, every performer could only sing 1-3 songs, depending on how big their name was. Last year, Tanya sang 5 songs with her guitar! I enjoyed 《抛物线》 very much, it was one of my favourite songs in the album.
l) 黄小琥 performed 《我的心里只有你没有他》,《热情的沙漠》and《没那么简单》. The first 2 songs livened the atmosphere (it felt like 歌台). Then, the entire stadium sang 《没那么简单》together--it was certainly a very viral and powerful single that re-established her back onto mainstream pop music.
m) Hebe 田馥甄 performed 《你太猖狂》and《寂寞寂寞就好》. I really expected more songs, afterall S.H.E swept many awards. But well, she'd be coming back in January 2011 for her live performance! She sang AS GOOD AS the CD version!
n) 苏打绿 performed《十年一刻》,《他夏了夏天》and《无眠》. I looked forward to their performance, and they certainly didn't disappoint! It was 意犹未尽 after the performance, and I really did think about hearing them at their concert.
o) 张信哲 performed《最初》、《不要对他说》and《太想爱你》. It would have been better if he was able to perform more. Really 意犹未尽 as well, after anticipating for his performance throughout the show. I think everyone was singing along for the last 2 songs too. Missed his recent concert in Singapore. Probably not the next time!
To be frank, I enjoyed last year's show more than this year's, probably due to the many more songs performed. Actually, the guest lists were comparable for both years la, just that probably the ending segment for last year's was much more lively, thanks to S.H.E, so it really ended with a bang. It is highly possible that S.H.E would be missed in next year's show, considering that it would be impossible for them to resume work as a group for at least 1 year.
In any case, I'm sure all 7 of us who attended the ceremony enjoyed it, though we paid a little more than what we wanted to, in the first place. I'll still be tempted to attend next year's show again.

Then after that, for a taste of Halloween, we went to the Asian Civilisations Museum, which was free for entry. I've visited ACM many eons ago, but didn't realise it was so huge. I guess I'll find another day to drop by the galleries again.
I didn't miss the chance to take pictures with the DJs!
DJ 阿栋，who asked me if I am a 早班听众。I am, and I asked him why wasn't he at the studio (he also hosts the programme on Saturday nights). "哦，已经录好了。哈哈！"

DJ 欣盈. She was very surprised when I was able to call out her name. I'm sure she'd be touched to know there ARE people who noticed her, given that she's still relatively new. She even asked for my name and invited me to 留言. Then I told her to 再接再厉，and she bowed in return!
