2014 Resolutions Score-card
1. "Maintain 65kg! Build muscles. Swim often."
Verdict: Fair. I'm back to the 61kg level. I did attempt to swim more, but not to what the word 'often' means.
2. "Enrich myself -- do not let my Japanese skills to drop further. At least maintain the JLPT Level 3 knowledge by revising once in a while."
Verdict: Failed. Blaming it on the lack of time, and also the lack of motivation to keep up with the learning.
3. "400km running mileage. Improve on timings for half-marathon and full-marathon."
Verdict: Good. I clocked 493.2km over the year amidst the working life, even more than 2013. 21km and 42km timings were better than 2013's, of which I achieved my Personal Best Marathon timing yet, in Bali.
4. "Improve my financial literacy"
Verdict: Failed. Did not manage to read up.
5. "Clear my reading backlog! Read 3 new books!"
Verdict: Failed. The only book I read (and am still not done yet), is 村上春树's 没有色彩的多崎作和他的巡礼之年。
6. "Feel positive and have motivations to look forward to at work. Not to be dreading work."
Verdict: Good. At the very least, I do not dread work as much now, and have very fun-loving colleagues.
7. "Work-life balance. Fewer OTs, more blue-skies-days. Create more time for 'outside' activities."
Verdict: Good. There were certainly times to take part in activities. I still diligently attend weekly dharma classes, and was able to contribute to the biennial T.H.I.S. Buddhist Film Festival 2014.
8. "Attend more social events to know more people and widen social circle."
Verdict: Failed. Will attempt to in 2015!
9. "Get rid of ills like procrastination, and be punctual."
Verdict: Fair.
10. "Go on at least 1-2 vacations."
Verdict: Good. I've made a few short weekend trips this year, all within the boundaries of Southeast Asia. Though short, these were pretty good recharging vacations.
