This year's Glasgow Commonwealth Games was pretty exciting to watch, and being 7 hours ahead of Scotland's time zone, the afternoon matches can all be caught after work on weekdays. Sweet!
I managed to catch quite a number of badminton and table tennis over the past 1.5 weeks, and also a fair bit of Gymnastics and Shooting, all of which have Singapore interest. I was especially thrilled to witness how our Badminton Men's Singles and Doubles reached the Gold Medal Match for the first time in history, upsetting their higher-ranked opponents to stage major upsets.
World Cup years are exciting sporting years. Apart from the phenomenal football craze, we can all look forward to other once-in-4-years Games, including the Commonwealth Games, and the upcoming Asian Games and the Youth Olympic Games.
Anyway, Scotland is so pretty and so worth visiting.
