All booked and good - I'm taking a week's break in September!
The amount of planning that went into the one-week break was actually huge: I had initially planned a trip to Myanmar and had about 80% of the itinerary done up. Then, I considered doing a Mulu trip, and had researched on flights and trekking packages to the Malaysian UNESCO World Heritage site. Then, an interest on a Surabaya+Bromo+Ijen trip came up too, and once again, I did up a full itinerary on that one.
And JUST when I was about to book the return flights to Surabaya, Wenjian asked if anyone's interested in a Rinjani trek. Considering that a Rinjani trek would be more fulfilling than a Bromo/Ijen trek, I decided to do the former right away.
So, that followed by yet another round of flights/ accommodations research. Finally, after almost a month of deliberation, the trip's set and we'll be on our way during the September school holidays.
It's not going to be an easy-and-relaxing trip, because we've planned in a 3D2N climb to the peak of Indonesia's second-highest volcano, followed by a marathon in Bali. That's going to give our legs the ultimate challenge.
人生是黑白的.
