I must be the only person in my circle of friends who really tried to wake up early to catch the free train ride to work. Waking up 45 minutes earlier to save $1.23, is it worthwhile?
Here's how that extra 45 minutes had been used during the first week of the scheme:
1. On Monday: Napped for 20 minutes; Read for 25 minutes.
2. On Tuesday: Napped for 25 minutes; Read for 20 minutes.
3. On Wednesday: Napped for 35 minutes; Read for 10 minutes.
4. On Thursday: Decided to catch up on work during the extra 45 minutes.
5. On Friday: Decided to sleep more at home and reached on time.
To be fair, I hadn't given up yet. The reason why I didn't attempt to reach earlier on Friday was because work ended past 11pm the night before.
Waking up 45 minutes earlier does make me somewhat sleepier during the day, but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to. I'm really banking on that extra alone-time in the office to do some personal reading, which I really couldn't find the energy to, after I'm done with work every day.

It's the end of the first half of the year. Truly a bad start so far. With a holiday in sight and events to look forward to, I hope things will turn brighter. Nevertheless, my desire for a change had never wavered and I hope for more positivity in the 2nd half to come.
