2nd visit to Batam Cable Ski park with the campcomm guys, after the last one that took place in Jan 2010. The price increased from S$97 to S$105. (And it will be increased to S$108 from July 2012)
But it was still well worth it. Here's why:
WE HAD THE ENTIRE CABLE SKI PARK TO OURSELVES. Our group of 5.
And so, no one else were there to laugh at us. Or fight for the cable, for that matter. It was still as tiring and sore after a full day of wakeboarding, but it felt really impressive, at least for me, to have improved over my previous visit, when I couldn't even maintain 10 metres.
Funny moments aplenty, including one of my launches, when I was pulled by the cable but the board didn't move with me -- my legs ended up running into the water! And there were near-misses too, when a few times, some of us would be surfing too close to those who have fallen into the water. We're lucky no one was hurt.
I'm pretty sure this may be the last time we'd do this together, since working life's starting soon for everyone. That would mean it would be impossible to come again on a weekday, and be the only ones occupying the entire facility anymore.
人生是黑白的.
