After the feverish elections, Singaporeans return to normalcy. Well, slowly. For the past few days, I can still hear post-election discussions, in the office, at home, at coffeeshops..
After all, it was indeed a Watershed election, not just for PAP or opposition parties, but also for Singapore. The Opposition parties have made big gains and won the hearts of many --> 40% of the country voted for them! The PAP too, had reasons to cheer: they still took a staggering 81 seats, even when the negative ground sentiments were almost at their all-time high.
I admit being a little disoriented right after election. This came after spending 5 nights at rallies, out of the 8 nights of campaigning; and awaiting results Live at an assembly centre. It felt as though you had reached the climax, and at the next moment, you found yourself back at the ground again. I attribute this greatly to the FEELING of being Singaporean. I'm not anti-foreigners nor anti-immigrants, but at rallies, you know everyone there are Singaporean, and are supporting a common cause. That feeling really empowered me.
Now, I'm already looking forward to how things will take their form, in 2016!

Because of the campaigning period over the Labour Day weekend, this entry had to make way for the more important election entries. Now I can finally resurrect it.
Location: Johor Bahru, MalaysiaTravel Mates: Intern colleagues
On Labour Day, the current interns in the company went for our 5th Outing to date, this time overseas!
It was a really simple day trip. Makan, bowling, makan, back. There was a little issue at the place where we had our seafood dinner, but it was still a fairly good getaway. I spent just about RM60. But pardon me, I still have no love for JB, compared to other more lovely Malaysian cities.

Very likely to have Summer Trips this year. Short getaways are all I can afford to have! Updates soon.
