They recovered quickly from the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Kobe in 1995, which saw more than 6000 deaths. The city was quickly rebuilt and the country was up on track with speedy economy recovery. The triple disasters this time might be much more catastrophic, but I'm sure they'll be just as efficient.
The Japanese are known for being resilient, hardy but calm, civic-minded and orderly. They totally displayed their humanity traits over the past week, with heartwarming stories pouring like a tsunami. That is why I believe they will stand up again very soon.
