Last Friday: Part 2 of the 9-parter Monthly Treat Series!

The month of February took us to 食いしん坊, a 食べ放題 restaurant that I had always wanted to try. やっぱり満足しました。

Very early on a Saturday morning, about 1000 employees of the company (that I'm interning) gathered for a large-scale dragonboat carnival. I was appalled at the scale of the event -- very professional and thoughtful (there's even a baggage deposit area like the running races I've been in).

It was quite a gathering, seeing a number of NUS coursemates at the event, representing the various departments that they're interning at. Graduated 07/04 classmates Stanley & Caiying were rowers too. And so, initially I thought I was just supporting one team, but it turned out that I was looking out for a number of other teams as well.


The sheer size of the event can be imagined, if I tell you that there're 80-odd dragonboat teams, averaging 10-11 people each.
