The electoral boundaries review was released and the map is out.
1. The higher number of SMCs from 9 to 12 is expected, but I was a little surprised that they still retained 6-man GRCs. Ang Mo Kio is one of them. Is it to serve as a deterrence against a repeat of any 'suicide squads', which WP managed to send in 2006 and shave the votes of the incumbent party to just an embarrassing 66.1%?
2. I'm still incorporated under stronghold Marine Parade. This fact alone robs my virgin voting chance by 80%.
3. The parliament size will increase to 87. I hope we're not supporting more yes-men using our coffers. And I wonder if the World's oldest politician will continue to hold that record. I guess so.
