I have really spotted a trend in my blog visitorship.
On the DAYS of results release, my readership will spike -- by 100% or 200%. The visitors count on results day from Semester 2 (in May 2009) to Semester 4 (in May 2010) had shown a two-fold or even three-fold increase, compared to the average daily traffic.
Today was the results release for Semester 5. I thank all for your concerns, judging by the more-than-double visitor numbers today. Be it genuine concerns or kaypohs (just kidding lah), I'm gonna disappoint you by not releasing the details of my results this semester.
It's not really that I'm too disappointed with them, as I've already expected what I would see at 7:40am this morning. It's more of accepting the fact that: It-just-doesn't-matter-anymore. By that, I mean it is impossible to raise the standards to the upper bracket anymore, so I'll be a happy 2nd Lower. Nevertheless, I should ensure it won't fall further.
Look, a 3.51 and a 3.99 makes no difference in the certificate. I would be happier getting a 2nd Lower with a score of say, 3.7, compared to the frustrating score of 3.99!
That said, I really have to take my hats off to my cohort in Chem Eng. You guys are really smart and analytical and exam-smart and diligent and productive and efficient and respectable and hardworking. You guys truly and certainly deserve the good results.
But if you are reading this now, and reckon that you are that average just like me, just don't be discouraged. The world needs the average like us. The majority of the population is average. But that does not mean there isn't a way for us at all. So, let's look inner and work hard together.
