Nike City Run 10km concluded in a haze-free setting! This has got to be the best case scenario, with the haze miraculously disappearing from the early morning on Sunday.
At 7am, the PSI read 28. The weather was good. No rain, no bright sun and clean air. Cool.
The nasty 20-cent-coin-sized blister on my feet healed just in time for the event. Not wanting to take any chances, I added precautions to it too.
With all these likely hindrances removed, I managed to shave a few minutes off last year's timing, and finished in 48:39.
2010 may well be the year to be remembered for PBs. 1 more major race left.
July 2010: PB for 2.4km.
September 2010: PB for 21km.
October 2010: PB for 10km.
December 2010: ??
Weekly runs for these last 6 weeks will continue, albeit on a lower priority, with exams looming and too much of catching up work to do. It's gonna be a different kind of chasing NOW.
