The authorities had just banned a film. Er, not those R-21 kind of movies that I'm referring to here, but one that is of political nature.
I was lucky to have watched it online, ONE DAY before the country banned it effectively from 14th July 2010, Wednesday.
It's basically a speech made by one of the founding members of the all-powerful party that governs the country today. I'd better not make any unnecessary comments, lest I'll be accused of anything like this Dr. Lim. But I did feel that the 19 years he spent in prison, under a controversial law, was too much. (FYI, it's longer than a 'life sentence'.)
The recorded film version of the speech is banned. BUT the transcript of the exact speech still lives on, at the moment. The film, however, can still be watched from certain host sites.
