I loved today's work deal. Rarely will clients/participants deserve an entry here. This shows how I enjoyed today's session, even after a long drive to faraway Sembawang Park.
Usually, participants are made up of expatriate kids or rich Singaporean kids. The former are usually return customers of about 7 - 9 years old, and are sometimes either snobbish (well, just some only!) or they're just very distracted by the weapons laid quietly on the ground (ok, kids will be kids!). The latter are usually a little spoilt, about 9 - 11 years old, and their English-speaking Singlish-speaking parents (or maids) just love to stick to them to protect them (Well, Kiasu-ism runs in Singaporeans' blood).
Today was different. I had lovely Sec 3 prefects from a school in the West! I don't need an obedient and quiet audience, but I would appreciate participants who give me attention during the briefing. These prefects were great--they listened attentively and had spontaneous reactions and interactions. They laughed at parts which I've repeated countless times and had grown immune to. In conclusion, they made me enjoy the briefing.
Being prefects, they had alot of initiative and were good team-players. The little accident during the 2nd mission spelt a premature end to it, which I felt a little sad for the participants, judging how much they enjoyed the 1st.
Before we left, one of the prefects even came to ask:
"Are you all leaving already?"
"Erm, yes..."
"Can I have a hi-5 with you?"
"Well of course!"
*Piak*, and that made my day.
