One year of hiatus from Windsurfing proved to be long enough for me to lose the whatever-lousy-skills I had gained in the previous December camp.
I can't believe it's already been a year!
Day ONE saw myself dropping sails in the choppy waters every now and then, seemingly unable to get back the 'feel' of last year. I couldn't really venture out of the bay area. Then, towards the end of the session, the rains came and there was zero wind. Pretty sian.
Day TWO was much better, as I managed to leave the little bay area. But soon enough, I found myself at TWO breakwaters away. So for that entire morning session, I was struggling to surf back to the initial beach (but to no avail), and so had to come alongside at another beach and walk back.
The afternoon session was luckier--I went out and almost were able to come back. But the shifting winds, which eventually stopped altogether (because of the rain), posed some steering problems for this rookie here. Thankfully the distance to swim back was quite near.
Day THREE was meant to be a short mini relay, but big boo boo to the rains once again!

I was better at last year's december camp, but that was probably because I surfed twice or thrice before the camp, unlike this year. I hope I'd be able to find time during this coming semester for at least a few sessions, considering that my original Enrichment Sundays have yet to resume.
