I will not take up any future projects that require the selling of tickets.
Because it's really too much of a challenge to get people to open their purses and pay to attend your event. I've experienced this last year during the environment-themed concert, and now, the bash.
I don't hard-sell. I never will, because I myself HATE people hard-selling. But that's probably why I could never sell a single ticket by myself. People need persuasions. But I don't believe in forcing people to go if they are genuinely uninterested.
And I don't like the idea of starting a conversation with someone in MSN that you usually don't talk to, and start convincing them to buy a ticket. That's so 无事不登三宝殿, and probably superficial.
I don't feel guilty at selling 0 tickets, because I dare say I've tried. Just that I stopped short at the line between hard-sell and not.
