I was in the LT when Singapore was assured of a medal in Olympics. Sitting on the last row, I could see a few random laptops either having Live Streaming or having a Real-Time score update on the exciting semi-final.
2 rows in front, one laptop was put to a Real-Time Score update. Ears switched off from the boring lecture, our eyes were all glued to the screen. There was no action, just purely numbers that are refreshed whenever a point was scored. Yet it kept us so anxious. It was kinda funny how we cheered muted-ly when the paddlers got an edge over their competitors.
Luckily the FINALS match could be watched from the comfort of the sofa.
All the best to the team for tomorrow, and also those battling it out at the Singles Category next week.
----------------------------------
I was glad that I managed to pull myself out of bed in the last 2 days.
For morning run, that is.
I've rested enough after June 30's Sundown Marathon. But the real catalyst, is the pressing fact that AHM (21km) is coming IN A WEEK'S TIME!!!.
Let this be my last procrastination ok. Starting training just 10 days before a major run sounds scary. And AHM is likely going to be my Last major run in 2008. Have to sacrifice Dec 7th Stanchart Marathon for a more practical JLPT exam.
I shall really put my wonderful timetable (mornings predominantly free) to good use eh.
人生是黑白的.
