Goodness. Usain Bolt had just broken the 200m World Record. The first person to break both 100m and 200m World Records in a single Games. This lightning (Bolt) struck twice. And Jamaicans are really great sprinters.
And many other names will be remembered and be synonymous with Beijing 2008. You also have the greatest swimmer sweeping the most number of golds in a Games, 7 out of 8 under World-Record-breaking conditions. If I'm not mistaken, Beijing has witnessed the most number of record-breaking feats in swimming at the Water Cube.
And the fighting spirit of the Chinese, surpassing USA in the Gold Tally for the first time, emerging as the new sporting great.
I'm addicted to watching Olympics. Im thankful that Olympics is during the time when tutorials haven't started--I've devoted the remaining time following it, from newspaper coverage, TV news, to online HD5 programmes and official website live scores.
Luckily it will end when tutorial starts.
This most-expensive-ever Olympics has been very successful so far. I hope the Closing Ceremony on the 24th will complement the Opening as the BEST again.
I just hope Singapore's Youth Olympics in 2010 can turn out at least half as great as Beijing 2008.
After all, Beijing 2008 is one of the greatest Games in history. Well done China.
人生是黑白的.
