Since late last year, I've been a great fan of Improv Everywhere, and I'll make it a point to check up on that site regularly, to be impressed by their new Improv Missions.
1. For a start, you REALLY HAVE TO watch this MP3 Experiment. This mission really got me very impressed, by how they could attract so many participants, and manage them. It's a pretty enjoyable mission.
***************
2. This 'The Moebius' mission is entertaining to watch. See how the agents got Starbucks patrons totally confused with the exact same events happening again and again for an hour!
***************
3. Then, be MORE impressed with this Annual mission, 'No Pants', which was so successful this year, that many US cities and other countries took part. See how train commuters got a shock when they see 'strangers' turning up pant-less in public transport!
***************
4. And not to forget this Super Mission, 'Frozen Grand Central', which was done a few months ago, at the World's Largest Train Station. Time Froze and people in the station remained motionless! This mission was so successful that Improve Groups worldwide organised their own 'Freeze' missions. Over the past 3 months, 70 cities in 34 countries had successful done this, including CHINA and MALAYSIA.
----------------------------------
The reason why I'm saying all these, (you might have guessed it), is that there's also an Improve Group in SINGAPORE, inspired by Improve Everywhere.
To date, they've successfully completed 3 missions and they are organising a FREEZE event next month too!
The facebook event has '562 confirmed attendees' and '872 maybes', but of course not all will turn up. In the event that only 20% participates, there'll still be 100+ there, and it would really be a scene, if successful. Not to forget, the original mission at Grand Central had only about 200 people too.
It's such a shame I have Japanese class at that Freeze time, or I'd really want to go and watch, at the very least!
人生是黑白的.
