As late as April this year, I have had no plans of doing any marathons. In fact, the thought of running a marathon has not crossed my mind any time before, as I know I'm not a runner.Things changed when I saw people wearing the 'Finisher of 42.195km' T-shirt. I thought it is such a nice shirt and it really captures the wearer's achievement. From then on, I worked towards getting THAT shirt, by training with Vincent every week from May.In end-August, I ran my first Half-Marathon of 21.1km. Despite the first attempt, I did it in a satisfactory timing of 2 hours 15 mins. But perhaps our trainings weren't enough, so I thought the run was a little too much.Trainings continued and we ran further. Then came today, the big day for some 40,000 runners at the Stanchart Singapore Marathon 2007.It was just 3 months ago when I did the half-marathon. 3 months later and I was going to double that, to complete my first-ever 42.195km distance. And I was very glad that I sustained a continuous 24km without stopping, almost 10km more than the half-marathon in August. And ironically speaking, I felt the full marathon was not as taxing as the half. Probably cos we were more prepared this time round. And my morale was higher. When I reached the end, the clock read 5 hours 15 mins. Considering that we started almost 10 minutes later than the flag-off at 5:30am, I completed the gruelling race just minutes above 5 hours! It is certainly way better than the personal targets that I had set!I'd just like to say this: Really, nothing is impossible. I might have thought that 42.195km was impossible just 8 months ago. But it had become a reality today.
It had been a great experience, and the constant cheers from strangers along the entire route had been memorable. I really felt like a winner.----------------------------The Finisher's Medal (both sides)

And the much coveted Adidas Finisher's tee!
