When i first knew that KIT CHAN will be singing this year's NDP theme song again, I was looking forward to yet another song that would equalise the status of 'HOME' in Singaporean's hearts.
HOME, being the first-ever NDP based theme song, was a real classic, and it is, in my opinion, one of the best. And its melody and lyrics had since found its way into countless Singaporean's hearts.
But i wasn't the least touched, neither did i feel patriotic, nor inspired, nor satisfied, after listening to this year's 'There's no place i'd rather be'.
However, it DID give me a Forbidden-City-Soundtrack feel.
