Taken at the highest point of Ubin, overlooking Ubin Quarry and the North-Eastern Waters of Singapore. Breathtaking view, and i loved the mirror-like reflections on the quarry waters. But standing there near the cliff WAS scary la, especially for a person who is afraid of heights.
Been to Ubin for a few times, but all of which were NPCC-related activities, which means I've only been to Western Ubin. This cycling trip has allowed me to venture eastwards. One of the landmarks would be this German Girl Shrine, which pays respect to a mystery girl that dates back all the way to World War ONE.
Of course, the NPCC campsites were one of our pit stops.
The view at Mamam Beach, the smaller beach of the 2 at Ubin. Mamam is really, really, really tiny. Noordin Beach is slightly bigger, but i remember it was bigger a few years ago, during my ATC times.. If you take a closer look at the picture, you can notice a row of 'fence' had been erected a distance from the beach--to deter illegal immigrants. Yes, it does cast a damage to the beauty, but it was kinda inevitable..
And we visited a couple of other pit stops too. Luckily the intermittent rain was quite manageable. We certainly had great fun in this not-so-typical outing!!
