The 45th anniversary celebrations paled in comparison to the 40th, almost in every way. I guess the most evident difference is the number of people who went back, as i remembered more ex-cadets going back to DHS 5 years ago.
Maybe because of the ulu location at the temporary holding site.
Maybe because of insufficient publicity and word-of-mouth.
Or maybe, as time passes and things change, the significance of being part of the event has decreased?
I'm glad I was with the unit during its heydays in the early 2000s.
