Today's 1st July, and our BMT section had set aside this date since a long time ago, to celebrate all our bdays, since they fall on around the same period..
All thanks to kenneth, who offered us his house as our bbq site. And let me say this, i've never been to a house of such enormity. He has a gigantic plasma tv with cable tv and surround sound (which i can't figure out how to use until 1 of his 2 maids came to help), a grand piano, a mini wine bar, antique grandfather's clock and many other antiques and so on. As i didnt actually have the chance to go up to the 2nd and 3rd levels, so i cant tell u the countless luxury items that i didnt get to witness. Oh my, the house (and all the assets) that i actually stood on just now, would in my own opinion, worth many many millions! As much as i dream of such wealth, i know that it would never come true in my lifetime. Lol. I think i really sound like a country bumpkin, but it was simply stunning.
yea, so today's turnout was great. A total of 10 (though shawn n lipyong weren't from our bunk) came, including eugene and kenneth himself, whom we haven't met since pop in march..
well, the food wasn't considered top quality, since they were bought by eric and from ntuc. but its ok, its a lesson learnt that we can't have him to be in charge of purchasing... But luckily the grandness and class of the house made up for it. The bbq pit is different from the ones we always have! ITs some sort of a round pot, and ashes are collected at the bottom. Quite cool. And soothing music was even played from the house's ceiling speakers, adding in a serene atmosphere. And the 2 maids really saved us alot of trouble by helping out, though i personally felt bad, cos i don't really advocate the use of domestic maids..
by 9pm, after a good 3.5 hours of bbq-ing and eating, there were still lots of uncooked food. And a fudge cake. And so we had to gorge ourselves with the cake, which was too chocolatey to make me feel pukey. but its nice la.
