It was uber difficult to get tickets to watch this controversial movie today. It was 2pm. At GV plaza sing, all 9 timeslots from 2pm to 12mn were sold out.It was 2:45pm. At the new Cathay, tickets weren't available too.It was 3:00pm. At Shaw Bugis, its another repeated episode.Luckily, there's always a back-up at Shaw Towers. After travelling so much, tickets were finally secured for a 3:40pm movie. Heng ah, no need to wait for another week.I didnt read the book. Up till around 2 weeks ago, I hadn't a single clue of what the book is about. Just some bits and pieces from those who had read. Hardly 3 years since it was published, the novel was translated to 46 languages and sold over 17 million, hence was the 2nd most-read book in the world. People had been holding the novel everywhere from school, to buses, to anywhere. But it has not found its way to my hands, yet. But after watching the Hollywood film, its time to source for one. I've decided to pick up this novel, after I finish the current novel Im tackling.Overall, I find the movie not-bad, but I was told that the book is better, in terms of captivating attention and in content too. It was nice to re-visit the Louvre Museum in Paris, since my trip 12 years ago. And I guess its no harm watching the film, as I would only take it plainly as a story, but to a greater extent, I'm watching it for the controversy.-------------------I bought an English Cd today. Yes, for those who know me, please do not drop your jaw. And no, I've not converted my faith in Mando-pop. Just that i was kinda influenced by my BMT bunkmates, back in BMT days. 2 Mariah carey fans (kenneth&bingfu) had influenced me and being drawn to her powerful vocals, i bought her "Greatest Hits" compilation album today. That's the first-ever English album I bought. Simply undescribable.--------------------And to you blogders there, do play a part for charity! And its very very simple!
