MyElectionsGossip#3"For elections outside Singapore, the date of elections is known but results unknown. For elections inside Singapore, the date of elections is unknown but results known."
Thats something that i came across many many weeks ago.
And finally, the parliament was dissolved today and the date of the polls was announced.
That would mean the heating up of the political scene in the country. Firstly, the opposition parties would gradually reveal and introduce their slate of candidates. We'll get to see what kind of talents had been sought by the opposition wings, and whether these candidates can match the calibre of those that the ruling party had managed to get. But given the nature of Singapore politics, finding people to stand for elections for the ruling party itself is already tantamount to searching for rare gems in the ocean. Let alone finding people to stand for the opposition.
But you never know. We shall see.
And following all that, we'll expect to see more debates going on. Election issues will linger, and let's see how the parties maintain their stance. Will the NKF issues still draw interests, given the currently ongoing court case of Durai and his accomplice? (Im amazed by the absolutely right timings of the court case man...So accurately arranged to take place now and not anytime else huh???) Or will the casino issues sill appeal to voters, after a long long tiring debate last year? Or will the mere need for opposing voices in the parliament help the opposition parties achieve their goals?
Again, let's see.
But currently, there's one thing to be happy about, especially for non-voters like me who still cannot experience it, yet. And thats the public holiday on 6th May. WoooHOo.
人生是黑白的.
