Sit test was slacker than i tot..probably its cos i had the luck to be grouped into the same group as ppl i know, and hence it was much more enjoyable.. but i really cant believe it oso la.. 3 4Bians can actually do sit test together (the other 2 were wenxiang and yehlin, who missed his coy's test and had to join us)..
Now that the major events are over for us, its now a total physical programme for us, which i can barely take a breather. For the past 3 days, a typical day will be as follows:
-Breakfast
-PT 1
-PT 2
-Lunch
-PT 3
-PT 4 or Armsdrill
-Dinner
-Drill training
Truthfully, after a full day, im really damn tired la.. 6.5 hours of slp does no help to ward away the whole body aches or even heal the multiple blisters on my palms that kept breaking layer by layer..(erm, i can now see the 3rd inner layer).
hmm, but i guess i muz spare a thought for ppl in xiong-er coys like ninja.. u guys are undergoing much worse trainings.. so jiayou eh!
-------------------------------
we did peer appraisal oso, and well, it was a good chance for me to exercise my powers to rank ppl i dislike at the bottom of the list.. Hey but mind you, i did this ranking in a much professional way, in that i really considered their traits and characters before ranking them.. so there's no personal grudges involved.. but still, those that i really
kan bu shuang are in the bottom 10 la..
but one ting i feel abt peer appraisal, is that its kinda cruel and not necessarily the most accurate way to determine a person's possibility to get into command sch. cos, although 6 weeks have passed, there are still ppl whom i've not interacted with.. and i believe its the case for almost everyone.. and so these ppl will not come into ur mind when u're considering ppl for like the top 20 spots, even if they have the calibre.. But im glad that there's this exercise, so that wayang-kings, sabo-kings and chao-keng kings have a lessened chance to find their way to command school..
but one ting that i realised was, there's quite a bit of backstabbing.. perhaps backstabbing isnt the word, but its someting like ganging up together against some others.. thats the result of the formation of deep-rooted sectional cliques, which im part of as well.. and some ppl in other sections are just hypocrites.. i guess they are just blinded by their desire to be an officer.. this really irks me..
----------------------
right, now for my bookout programmes this week..
I had swenson's lunch n earthquake, with my section mates again.. it seems like its a routine for us to dash to some higher-class places for meals immediately after book-out.. and we love to gossip over such lunches.. (see, the result of sectional cliques)..
Then i met my sqdmates for dinner and k-box in the evening.. this is my first k-box session this year, and the result of the snacks was the sorethroat i have now. SIAN AH. sorethroat again! i wonder how long it would take to heal, when its complemented with the tekong cough..
And oh, i realise nowadays i have to qualms or reservations when it comes to spending on food. $350 a month may seem little, but there's nothing much to spend on, other than luxury food during bookouts and snacks when i book-in, and also transport...
And i felt my presence in this country is a little more important now, after the govt released the Financial Budget 2006.. cos, for the first time, im benefitting from the redistribution of wealth from the govt.. NSFs are getting $100 come 1st May.
---------------
Im ending here, but before that, do wish me luck in the following..
1. IPPT Actual test this week
2. SOC test this week
3. 16-km route march this week
4. And most importantly, my A-levels (still duno when, and so i duno when i can stop worrying yet.)
人生是黑白的.
