was quite shocked to find out that only 80 ppl from the cohort are going for grad nite.. this equates to juz 8 pathetic tables.. and i tink the 5 teachers are quite kelian.. cos, if by next week, they still cant get the minimum number of ppl going, the grad nite has to be called off, for the first time in tj history.. and, the ting is, the 5 teachers haf to undertake the $7500 burden of the deposit.. hMm. kelian kelian..
but still, i'll stay by my decision on not going. there are few reasons that can justify my decision..
1. my class and my friends are ALL not going. so, wads the point of going alone?
2. 85 bucks isn't all that u have to pay. don't forget all the implicit costs that u have to incur, in the form of getting new clothes..
3. the class MAY be having a chalet on the same day..
4. i haf too many post exam plans.. and ALL require money money money.. if i go grad nite, i'll have to sacrifice some of my plans, which i dun wan.. the opportunity costs are greater ok..
yup. so i wont be going for grad nite la.. no matter how much of deposit that they are going to lose, no matter whether this is the first ever batch in 28 years that dun haf a grad nite.. sorry, im not being heartless, nor do i not have college spirit. i juz dun tink i haf much of a choice???
